Pastor's Bio

 

Pastor, Patrick Edwards, with his wife, TeresaPatrick Edwards was raised in Richmond, Virginia where his parents, Ken and Debbie, and sister and brother-in-law, Rebekah and Evan O'Dell, still live. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007, with a Bachelor's Degree in History. Patrick began work on his M.Div. degree in Christian Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, in 2008, and in May 2009, he married Teresa Futrell. Patrick and Teresa have made their home in the Triangle area since.

Patrick has served in short-term missions roles in Nicaragua, the Republic of Ireland, and Romania. In 2010, he followed the call into ministry as Associate Pastor of Students at Bahama Baptist Church, and in February 2011, he accepted the call to pastor Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He views his ministry, his family, and entire life through the lens of Colossians 3:1-4: "Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in "

In August 2011, Patrick will begin work at Southeastern Seminary on the degree of Ph.D. in Historical and Systematic Theology.
